Track record

Dr. Falk Brauer founded rAInvent in 2026, after 20 years in AI, from classic AI to GenAI, and 20+ years in enterprise software.

  • AI research (2006–2011). PhD in AI and natural language processing from the Hasso Plattner Institute, alongside SAP Research: entity search, information extraction and question answering over business data. Papers at VLDB, WWW, CIKM and TREC, 3 US patents.
  • SAP (2006–2014). Nine years at SAP, from researcher to product owner for real-time intelligence to head of R&D, and founding member of SAP's Innovation Center Singapore, now SAP Labs.
  • Building a software company (2014–2023). Nine years at a CPQ software company, from VP Technology through customer success, pre-sales and Managing Director APAC to CTO, through to its acquisition. Its product configuration ran on logic-inference AI, with machine learning on top.
  • GenAI at scale (2023–2026). SVP Product & Technology, then SVP Center of Excellence at the acquirer, a global B2B SaaS vendor: brought the two product and engineering organisations together and launched three GenAI products on AWS, among the first companies in Asia-Pacific to run Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Base in production. A GenAI pre-sales toolkit cut custom demo preparation from days to minutes.
  • rAInvent (since 2026). Advice and hands-on delivery: agent systems on Claude and AWS Bedrock, and still writing code every day.

Built by rAInvent:

  • AI agents that configure business software. Our own Odoo ERP is configured by AI agents. Each change is shown as a change set, nothing is written before approval, and every change is recorded in an audit file.
  • AI publishing pipeline. The daily digest and the reports on this site are researched and drafted by an agent pipeline on Gemini and Claude. The site has published 170+ posts since January 2026.
  • AI cost analysis from measured usage. We priced 26 coding models, 26 subscription vendors and 77 pay-per-use hosters at our own measured usage: 37.2 billion tokens in one month. Read the report
  • Change-request agents. For a client, AI agents that handle customer change requests in sales and price optimisation systems. On a recorded change request, effort fell by over 80%.
