Top Stories
NVIDIA Vera Rubin Launches with Major Cloud Partners
Among the first cloud providers to deploy Vera Rubin-based instances in 2026 will be AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft and OCI, as well as NVIDIA Cloud Partners CoreWeave, Lambda, Nebius and Nscale.
Microsoft will deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems as part of next-generation AI data centers, including future Fairwater AI superfactory sites. Designed to deliver unprecedented efficiency and performance for training and inference workloads, the Rubin platform will provide the foundation for Microsoft's next-generation cloud AI capabilities.
Why it matters: Vera Rubin's 10x cost reduction per token and 5x faster inference enable AI applications that were economically unviable in 2025 to become profitable in late 2026.

Sarvam AI Nears $350M Funding to Build India's AI Champion
India's homegrown artificial intelligence startup, Sarvam AI, is close to raising $300 million to $350 million as it seeks to build a domestic player that can compete with leaders from the US and China.
Bangalore-based Sarvam AI is nearing a $300-350 million funding round at a $1.5-1.55 billion valuation, people familiar with the matter said on April 3, 2026. Bessemer is expected to lead the round with Nvidia, Amazon and Prosperity7 Ventures participating; Sarvam's voice-first, agentic models support 22 Indian languages and were showcased at Prime Minister Modi's February AI summit.
Why it matters: This could become India's largest startup funding of 2026 and signals the emergence of sovereign AI models designed for multilingual markets outside US-Chinese dominance.
C3 AI Launches Autonomous Code Generation Platform
C3 AI (NYSE: AI), the Enterprise AI application software company, today announced the general availability of C3 Code, a new paradigm in Enterprise AI that combines autonomous agentic coding with the full depth of the C3 Agentic AI Platform. We believe C3 Code will enable business analysts, developers, and data scientists to build production-grade Enterprise AI applications in hours.
Describe your requirements in natural language, and autonomous agents handle the rest - designing, configuring, testing, and deploying AI applications that can deliver immediate business value.
Why it matters: This represents a shift from AI-assisted development to fully autonomous AI application creation, potentially reducing enterprise AI deployment from months to hours.

Key Developments
Microsoft Launches Three In-House Foundation Models
Microsoft on Thursday launched three new foundational AI models it built entirely in-house - a state-of-the-art speech transcription system, a voice generation engine, and an upgraded image creator - marking the most concrete evidence yet that the $3 trillion software giant intends to compete directly with OpenAI, Google, and other frontier labs on model development, not just distribution.
The trio of models - MAI-Transcribe-1, MAI-Voice-1, and MAI-Image-2 - are available immediately through Microsoft Foundry and a new MAI Playground. They span three of the most commercially valuable modalities in enterprise AI: converting speech to text, generating realistic human voice, and creating images.
Impact: Microsoft's move toward AI independence reduces reliance on OpenAI while offering enterprises better data governance and compliance control.
Khoros Launches Aurora AI Community Platform
Less than one year since being acquired by IgniteTech, Khoros today announced Aurora AI, an AI-native reimagining of the Khoros Community platform.
Aurora AI launches with three AI agents in beta: Answer Assist, AI Moderation and Orchestrator. The roadmap includes Recommendation Engine and Content Discovery in Q2 2026, Member Growth Agents in Q3 2026 and AI Brand Watch and Correction plus AI Data Analyst in Q4 2026.
Impact: Enterprise community management becomes fully autonomous with AI agents handling moderation, recommendations, and member growth without human intervention.

Anthropic Deploys Mythos Security Model
Anthropic deploys Mythos for cybersecurity: Claude Mythos Preview, a specialized security model, has found thousands of previously unknown zero-day vulnerabilities. Deployed via Project Glasswing with 40+ partners including Microsoft, Apple, and Google.
Impact: Enterprise cybersecurity gains proactive threat detection capabilities with AI models identifying vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by attackers.
Product Launches
Microsoft Agent 365
Agent 365 is the central control plane for enterprise AI agents. Available May 1, it'll be available for $15 user/month, with a 20% CSP margin.

Microsoft 365 E7 Frontier Worker Suite
Also coming May 1, this new integrated suite combines existing capabilities. The suite is priced at $99/user/month, offering savings of about $18/user/month (15%).
Google Gemma 4 Open Models
Google released Gemma 4, a family of open-weight models from 2 billion to 31 billion parameters, all under Apache 2.0 license. No custom clauses, no "harmful use" carve-outs, no restrictions on commercial deployment.
The 31 billion parameter flagship handles 256K context windows, native vision and audio, 140+ languages, and built-in function calling for agentic workflows.
